I am Tim Barker and I am the author of The Cabin in the Deep Dark Woods series.

Then less than two months after being retired from the fire department, I listened to Jonathan Edwards’ sermon Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God. It was during that sermon that I thought, “Someone needs to write a book about a group of kids who get a video camera that gives them insight into the spirit world, showing them from a heavenly perspective how Jesus sees them.” A moment later, I knew that I was supposed to write that book. I started it that day, January 22, 2019. Later I turned it into a series after I wrote a second book (The Cabin in the Deep Dark Woods 2—The Spirit and the Bride–Publication date TBD). As of March, 3, 2021, I am eight chapters into the third book of that series (The Cabin in the Deep Dark Woods 3—Lost in the Way). These books are based upon the places that I created in the first book. Each book has its own set of characters and they can be read in any order. The emphasis is to present God differently in each book and at the same time give the reader a story that they simply can’t put down.
