“Let Us make the species, mankind, so they can associate with Us, the supreme Divinity, always having their thoughts, words, and actions going before the Messiah, the Son of God, Who is sacred, pure, and morally blameless, thus forming an eternal relationship based upon holiness with Jesus Christ.”
33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by itsfruit. 34 “Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” [4] [5]
Isaiah 11:[1-5] 1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. 2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. 3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; 4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. 5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
Before Jesus established His earthly ministry, it was prophesied the Messiah would delight in the fear of the LORD. When our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ spent His time on earth in the Fear of His God, His Heavenly Father, what right do we as men have to not have the same Spirit of the fear of the LORD stirring in our soul. Fear: (Strong’s H3374) fear; morally reverence.
In II Corinthians 5:10-11 it is stated that all men will appear before the judgment seat of Christ. Therefore, let us walk worthy of our calling [6] in Christ and live according to the Gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and His God and Father. Further, it is now time for all men everywhere to examine their lives and determine what [THINGS] they are laying upon that foundation that Christ has already laid: Is it gold? Then, it will stand on the day of judgment. Is it silver or precious stones? Then, they will also stand in the day of judgment. However, all things that each man who claims to be a man of God lays upon that same foundation that our Lord Jesus Christ has built that is worthless: wood, hay, and stubble will be burnt on that Day of the Lord [7]. I am beginning to question God: What in my life is wood, hay, and stubble because I know these will be burned to ash when presented at the Day of the Lord. But I don’t know what they are. I also don’t know what I have already laid upon the foundation of Christ, that is, gold, silver, or precious stones. When I think of men like Johnathan Edwards, George Whitefield, Martin Luther, or Billy Graham, I wonder how their works stood when they entered the kingdom of God. Were they surprised or disappointed? It shall be the responsibility of all men of God moving forward to define [gold…] and [wood…] in their lives, thus providing more [gold…] than [wood…] [8] [9] [10].
Those Men of God
Isaiah:
Isaiah 6:1-8 For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts.”
Moses: [11]
Exodus 33:[17-23] 17 the LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.” 18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” 19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” 20 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” 21 And the LORD said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. 22 “So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 23 “Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”
I Samuel 13:14 The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart…
Acts 13:[20-23] 22 “And when He had removed him [king Saul], He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’ 23 “From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior—Jesus—
Daniel 10:[10-12] 10 Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. 11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. 12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
Noah:
Genesis 6:[5-8] 5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
14 Make yourself an ark…
II Peter 2:5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
Genesis 11:1-9 Tower of Babel
Jonah:
1:[1-3] 1 Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.” 3 But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish
[15-17] 15 So they picked up Jonah and threw him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging. 17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
2:1-10 Jonah’s prayer: When you are in the belly of the fish, your prayers to God are of greater intensity!
3:[1-4] 1 Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.” 3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent. 4 And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”
4:1-10 Jonah is displeased with the mercy of God, having more compassion for a dead plant than a great city that repented of their sins.
Conclusion: That Seventh Man of God [16]
Where do you and I fit among those six men of God, you may ask? How do we compare to Noah or even Jonah? What made them so special in the sight of God? Could it be their unrelenting desire for fellowship with Him? They tasted that spiritual meat, which is Christ, [17] and fed from Him, desiring to do His will and His work. Not only that, but they spent time with God and knew their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Are you daily in the word, discerning the scriptures, knowing Jesus as they did? Will you be like Moses in the cleft of the Rock or the men of Isaiah 2:19-20 and Revelation 6:15-17?
Scriptures
Revelation 6:[15-17] 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
Isaiah 2:[19-22] 19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks, And into the caves of the earth, From the terror of the LORD And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily. 20 In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver And his idols of gold, Which they made, each for himself to worship, To the moles and bats, 21 go into the clefts of the rocks, And into the crags of the rugged rocks, From the terror of the LORD And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily. 22 Sever yourselves from such a man…
